Basilica

The priest here was one of the nicest I've ever worked with. He was immediately friendly, and happy to wear a microphone. That meant that I could capture perfect audio of the wedding ceremony formalities. The couple will be very happy :)And also, the exterior and interior of the church building isn very nice. So easy to capture beautiful video footage!

I don't often go into St Mary's. I walk by or drive by a fair bit. It's hard not to, it's fairly prominent in Geelong. On Tuesdsy night I went in... to see and hear Chamber Philharmonic Cologne. They were playing Vivaldi -who slaps btw- as well as Panganini, Mozart and Saint Saëns. So glad I went. Met at the door by the every lovely Synthia Hurttia, one of the violinists. Unreal! Let me say, the people who brought square cushions knew that those pews are hard, maybe harder even than the columns amongst the pews. So, yeh, good show, good venue.

Lovely building and great officiates for services. The windows and ornaments are gorgeous - such history!

A grandeur church in the centre of Geelong..

Very nice inside and the gardens are lovely. The stain glass windows are definitely worth seeing, especially the window one the second level overlooking the choir area. I understand it is open most days.

Wonderful and grand wedding venue, despite the size still felt intimate and connected. Easy to find parking available in adjacent streets.

A rare and beautiful bluestone basilica which took many years to complete. A joy to visit.

Lovely cathedral in Geelong. Beautiful architecture and nice garden surrounding it. Lots of parking space as well if you are visiting for a service. Visited for Easter Sunday service. The service was good and they had multiple screens as well for people sitting behind and on the sides. Would recommend visiting if you are in Geelong.
